British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Deadly Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, Nigerian authorities stated on late Wednesday. The 36-year-old was involved in a car accident in the Lagos area on December 29th, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Healing from Light Wounds

Joshua had remained in the hospital while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his management team had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was judged healthy enough to leave and heal privately.

“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The victims of the crash were identified as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the passing of his two dear friends.”

The news of his discharge follows the boxing community had expressed sympathy for the star in the wake of the devastating accident.
