The Opening Game Pass Titles of 2026 Reveal Xbox Is Still Fighting.

In numerous discussions, enthusiasts continue to ring the knell for the green team. Xbox was recently outsold by a platform few have heard of. Platform-specific outlets began covering regarding Sony's platform for the first time. 2025 was complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. However, judging purely by the titles headed to the service in 2026, it's evident that Xbox continues to plan to draw people in with quality releases on its flagship service.

The Available Now Titles

A pair of titles currently accessible at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's truly noteworthy.

Upcoming Headline Games

Come mid-January, the platform will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that deviates from conventional open-world tropes with a cosmic robbery tale. Another big get is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "an ideal blend of frights and fights."

Intriguing Niche Additions

Yet, the less-hyped additions set to join the catalog are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler offering thrilling gameplay, becomes available next week — and you should try it even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year might get its hooks in you in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.

A Well-Rounded Collection

Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they first-party juggernauts that validate the subscription by themselves. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that didn't get the attention they deserved the first time around — which makes them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
