Prince William is scheduled to attend the COP30 climate summit in South America during November, according to the royal household.

Prince William and King Charles appeared together on Thursday evening at a gathering preceding the climate summit, which is planned for in the Amazonian city of Belem.

Father and son were present at the museum gathering, marking an noteworthy combined presence at a environmental conference preliminary meeting co-hosted by the United Kingdom administration.

Climate Leadership Commitment

The King has been a long-time champion of environmental conservation - and the Prince of Wales has assumed the responsibility, with his own climate innovation awards, which will be taking place in South America ahead of the COP summit.

Royal sources have portrayed the Prince's participation at the next COP as stepping up an important role in "global climate discussions".

Previous Activities

The monarch and his heir, arriving together in the official car, were introduced to attendees such as environmentalists, scientists, climate change campaigners, diplomats and government officials.

This engagement included speaking alongside French leader Macron of the French Republic and other world leaders at the Ocean Finance Summit in the Principality of Monaco earlier this year.

Environmental Prize Link

The UN meeting will align with the William's personal climate innovation prizes, which will finish in the Brazilian city the previous day he attends the climate conference on the sixth of November.

Last week the William referred to the Earthshot finalists as "contemporary champions".

Royal Climate Legacy

The King has been a prominent presence at earlier environmental conferences, giving the opening address in the United Arab Emirates for the 28th Conference of Parties, including the statement: "The Earth does not belong to us, we belong to the Earth".

"Throughout my life I've dedicated a large proportion of my life trying to raise awareness about the existential threats challenging our world over planetary heating, global temperature increases and ecological decline," the sovereign addressed attendees.
